So you are a serious follower of Christ and engage in a lot of good deeds and Christian ministries? That's commendable. But, did you know that Jesus is more concerned with why we do what we do than He is with what we're doing?Matthew 6:1 begins a section of Scripture where Jesus speaks often of eternal rewards. It is in this verse that He tells us that if we aren't properly motivated when we do our "good deeds", we'll forfeit the eternal rewards we could have received.
This is a very serious biblical principle that will have eternal ramifications.
