REFLECTIONS ON TODAY'S BIBLE VERSE(S):
The God we serve is so absolutely wonderful!
The Bible presents Him as a God who is thoroughly just and must punish sinners. Yet, He is also presented as a God of faithful love who is slow to anger that enjoys lavishing grace upon people.
When we come to our Verse for Today, we see His goodness and grace. We come to Him with sin and the stains of that sin, and we walk away forgiven and clean.
But, God cannot simply overlook sin. He is just and our sins require punishment. Friend, that's what the cross of Jesus is about.
Through the cross, God demonstrated His love and grace while also demonstrating His justice as Jesus paid the sin debt of everyone who would believe in Him.
Because of Jesus, we can come to God, broken over our sin, and walk away free and forgiven!
What a wonderful God we serve!
